Our straw bale holiday cottages, tucked away in a peaceful corner of East Yorkshire are the perfect place for a relaxing, environmentally friendly holiday in the countryside.

 

The Straw Bale Cottage and the Straw Bale Cabin have been constructed with locally grown wheat straw in order to showcase the beauty and practicality, health and environmental benefits of building homes with this abundant natural material.

 

With energy provided by a micro wind turbine and solar panels and a whole host of eco friendly features, this is sustainable tourism at its best!

 

The location is ideal for the complete environmentally friendly experience. Being only one mile from Howden railway station, travel by train is easy. The quiet lanes and paths are perfect for walking or cycling with the bicycles provided and the train is perfect for day trips into Hull, York and Leeds.
